Recovery-focused care without judgment.
Substance use can affect health, mood, relationships, housing, work, and safety. Icare provides outpatient assessment and treatment designed to meet people where they are and support a safer, more stable path forward.

Outpatient care that treats substance use as a health condition.
Substance use exists on a spectrum. Some people want to understand whether their use has become a problem. Others already know they want change and need medical and practical support to get there. Icare’s outpatient recovery services are designed for both situations, and for everything in between.
Care starts with a respectful conversation, not a lecture. Because Icare also provides primary care and mental-health services, the same connected team can look at the whole picture — physical health, mood, sleep, medications, and the life circumstances that make change easier or harder.
Care can address the substance, the health effects, and what makes change harder.
Each service below is outpatient and individualized. Many people move between them as needs change.

What to expect when you call and come in.
Getting started is phone-based — there’s no form to fill out first. One call sets the rest in motion.
- 01
Call 702-988-3177 and briefly describe what is going on. You do not need the right words, a diagnosis, or a decision already made.
- 02
The team helps determine whether an outpatient visit at Icare is a reasonable starting point for your situation.
- 03
At the first visit, a clinician reviews your substance-use history, medical and mental-health background, and current medications.
- 04
You and the clinician discuss goals — abstinence, reduction, safety, or simply understanding the options.
- 05
Together you agree on a starting plan, which may include follow-up visits, medication when clinically appropriate, counseling connections, or referrals.
Outpatient treatment is one level of support.
Some people can be treated safely in outpatient care. Others may need emergency services, medically supervised withdrawal management, residential treatment, intensive services, or hospitalization. Icare provides outpatient care only; when a different level would be safer or more appropriate, the team helps identify external options and supports the transition rather than leaving you to search alone.
Questions people often ask before calling.
Do I have to stop using before my first visit?+
No. An honest picture of current use helps the clinician evaluate safety and options. Come as you are.
Will anyone judge me or lecture me?+
The visit is a medical conversation, not a moral one. Person-first, respectful care is the standard for every patient.
Is medication part of treatment?+
For some substance-use disorders, medication may be recommended when clinically appropriate. It is one option among several and is never guaranteed before an evaluation.
Can I get help for my mental health at the same time?+
Yes. Icare offers integrated care for co-occurring mental-health and substance-use concerns, so both can be addressed within one connected plan.
Urgent situations come before appointments.
Severe withdrawal, suspected overdose, chest pain, seizures, or thoughts of self-harm are emergencies — not things to wait on for an outpatient visit. The urgent help page lists crisis resources.
