Primary care

- Ask when calling
- “What should I bring for a first primary-care visit?”
Start with the service that best matches what you are dealing with now. If you are unsure, contact our team and we will help identify an appropriate outpatient starting point.

See what each service involves and how to start a conversation. You do not need to choose a service before calling.
Services depend on clinical appropriateness, current staffing, eligibility, and Icare’s active outpatient scope. Telehealth is a visit format, not a separate treatment.

You do not need to arrive with the right label for what you are experiencing. Describe what has been happening, and our team can help identify a reasonable outpatient starting point. These common situations may help you orient:
A physical symptom, a checkup, or an ongoing medical condition usually begins with primary care.
Changes in mood, anxiety, sleep, focus, or thinking may point toward a mental-health evaluation.
Wanting structured support to work through stress, relationships, grief, or habits may fit therapy and counseling.
Concerns about alcohol, opioids, stimulants, or other substances can begin with a confidential recovery assessment.
Leaving a hospital, a residential program, or another provider is a good reason to ask about transition-of-care support.
When several needs overlap, one entry point is enough — care can branch out from there, depending on the evaluation.
Getting started is phone-based and deliberately simple. There is nothing to set up or decode first — a conversation is enough to begin.
Call 702-988-3177. A team member asks a few practical questions about what you need and gathers basic information.
Together you identify a likely starting service. If Icare is not the right setting, we can help point you toward an appropriate alternative.
Before the first visit, gather a photo ID, any insurance information, a list of current medications, and relevant records if you have them.
The first appointment focuses on understanding your history, current concerns, and goals — at a pace that feels manageable.
You and your clinician outline next steps, which may include follow-up visits, additional services, or outside referrals, depending on the evaluation.
Some health needs can be addressed safely through outpatient care. Others may require emergency services, hospitalization, withdrawal management, residential treatment, or another higher level of care. When Icare is not the right setting, we can help identify an appropriate external next step. Part of good outpatient care is being honest about that boundary.
Often, yes. Many people combine services — for example, primary care alongside therapy or medication management. What is appropriate for you depends on the evaluation and Icare’s active outpatient scope.
Many people contact Icare directly, and outside providers can also refer. Some health plans have their own referral or authorization requirements, so it can help to check your plan’s rules before the first visit.
Scheduling is handled by phone. Call 702-988-3177 and a team member will talk through the next steps for your situation, including what to bring to a first appointment.
Wherever you start, the goal is the same — a clear plan, a connected team, and a next step you understand. Try the care pathfinder on the home page, or call and let the team guide you.

Tell our team what you need. We can help you understand the next appropriate step.
